What is Glider?

Glider is a decentralized, non-custodial platform designed to simplify and automate cryptocurrency portfolio management across multiple blockchains. It enables users to build, test, and execute automated trading strategies without requiring coding expertise. By leveraging chain abstraction and an intents-based architecture, Glider streamlines processes like token swapping, gas fees, network switching, and cross-chain bridging, making sophisticated portfolio management accessible to both novice and experienced investors.

How Does Glider Work?

Glider utilizes a no-code builder that allows users to set up rules—such as rebalancing assets or executing trades based on market signals—through a simple drag-and-drop interface. These rules are converted into smart contracts that execute trades automatically on-chain. The platform supports cross-chain functionality, enabling management of assets across multiple EVM-compatible blockchains without manual bridging. Glider is non-custodial, meaning users retain control of their funds, and it integrates with DeFi protocols like AAVE to optimize yield, automatically adjusting portfolios in real-time to capitalize on market opportunities.

What Makes Glider Unique?

Glider stands out due to its chain abstraction that simplifies cross-chain interactions, intents-based architecture focusing on desired outcomes, non-custodial approach ensuring users maintain control of assets, and integration with established DeFi protocols for lending and yield optimization. Additionally, its intuitive, no-code interface allows users to create and execute complex trading strategies without technical expertise.

Who Are the Founders of Glider?

Glider was co-founded by Brian Huang and John Johnson. Brian Huang holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and previously served as the Chief Architect at Anchorage Digital, leading the development of a cross-chain custody system supporting over 20 public chains. John Johnson was an early core developer of the 0x protocol and led the refactoring project of the Matcha aggregation trading engine, which achieved an industry record of $1.2 billion in daily trading volume.
