What is JPYD?

JPYD is a fiat-backed stablecoin designed to bring the Japanese yen (JPY) onto global blockchain infrastructure. It maintains a 1:1 value with the Japanese yen, combining the stability of a major traditional currency with the speed and efficiency of decentralized technology. Its mission is to create a secure institutional liquidity and funding layer for the JPY within the Web3 ecosystem.

How Does JPYD Work?

JPYD operates as a 1:1 pegged stablecoin where every token in circulation is fully backed by segregated JPY reserves held in top-tier financial institutions. The process involves real-time auditing and public attestations to ensure transparency. It is built on enterprise-grade blockchain technology (such as Ethereum) to facilitate secure, high-speed, and low-cost global transactions for both retail and institutional users.

What Makes JPYD Unique?

JPYD is unique due to its heavy focus on institutional liquidity and its integration with major Japanese and global partners like Jasmy, Nasdaq, and HashKey. Unlike standard stablecoins, it emphasizes 'data democratization' through potential integration with Jasmy’s Personal Data Locker, providing a privacy-focused stablecoin solution. It also features rigorous security audits by firms like PeckShield and Bunzz.

Who Are the Founders of JPYD?

JPYD is developed by a network of fintech experts and partners, often associated with the broader Jasmy and JPYD Network ecosystem. While specific individual founders for JPYD are often represented by the corporate entities behind the network, the project is led by a team with expertise in Japanese financial regulations, blockchain infrastructure, and enterprise data security.

$0.0061 USD (pegged to 1 JPY) - Fluctuations are reflective of the Japanese yen's performance against the US dollar rather than speculative volatility.

Market Cap and Valuation

Market Cap

JPYD is part of the emerging Japanese yen stablecoin sector, which has a total market capitalization of approximately $36.68 million.

Fully Diluted Valuation

The FDV is equivalent to the total supply of tokens issued and backed by yen reserves, designed to grow as more JPY is on-ramped into the system.

JPYD Price Prediction

As a stablecoin, JPYD is not expected to appreciate in value independently of the Japanese yen. Its price will consistently mirror the JPY exchange rate.
