What is Reroll?

Reroll (associated with the RE token) is the native governance and utility token of the Re Protocol, a decentralized on-chain capital market designed for the reinsurance industry. The project aims to bridge the gap between liquid stablecoin capital and the multi-trillion-dollar global reinsurance market, allowing insurance companies to transfer risk to a transparent, blockchain-based ecosystem.

How Does Reroll Work?

The Re Protocol operates as an infrastructure layer that connects licensed insurance entities with capital providers. It utilizes programmable capital through stablecoins like reUSD and reUSDe to fund fully collateralized reinsurance contracts. The RE token serves as the governance mechanism, allowing holders to vote on protocol upgrades, committee formations, and risk standards while ensuring accountability through bonding and staking.

What Makes Reroll Unique?

Unlike many DeFi projects that focus on tokenized debt or synthetic assets, Reroll is uniquely positioned in the Real World Asset (RWA) space by targeting uncorrelated insurance risk. It enables on-chain verification of solvency and reserves, providing institutional-grade transparency to an industry traditionally dominated by opaque, centralized intermediaries and brokers.

Who Are the Founders of Reroll?

The project was founded by Karn Saroya, who serves as the CEO. Saroya has an extensive background in insurance technology, having previously co-founded Cover, a Y Combinator-backed insurtech company. The founding team combines expertise from traditional finance and blockchain infrastructure to bring regulatory rigor to decentralized insurance.
