What is Second Tier?

Second Tier is a newly launched decentralized finance (DeFi) venture founded by Anton Bukov, the co-founder of the 1inch Network. Announced in mid-2026, the project aims to build a next-generation ecosystem focused on decentralized infrastructure and innovative financial tools. Its mission is to advance the principles of transparency and efficiency in the DeFi space by leveraging a team that shares core decentralized values.

How Does Second Tier Work?

Second Tier operates as a suite of decentralized applications (DApps) and protocols designed to enhance liquidity and transaction security across multiple blockchain networks. While specific technical details are emerging, the project is built on the expertise of its founders in protocol architecture and smart contract security, likely utilizing advanced aggregation and cross-chain communication technologies to streamline user interactions with on-chain assets.

What Makes Second Tier Unique?

What sets Second Tier apart is its leadership's deep experience in scaling one of the world's largest DEX aggregators. The project emphasizes a 'values-first' approach to development, focusing on community-driven governance and high-integrity code. It is designed to solve complex liquidity issues while providing a more robust and secure environment for institutional and retail DeFi participants compared to first-generation protocols.

Who Are the Founders of Second Tier?

The project was founded by Anton Bukov, a prominent figure in the crypto industry who co-founded the 1inch Network in 2019. Bukov is widely recognized for his expertise in protocol architecture, security, and decentralized exchanges. Following his departure from 1inch's operational role in late 2025/early 2026, he launched Second Tier to pursue a new vision for decentralized infrastructure.
