What is GMX?

GMX is a decentralized spot and perpetual exchange that supports low swap fees and zero price impact trades. It allows users to trade a variety of assets with up to 100x leverage directly from their self-custody wallets. The platform operates on multiple blockchains, including Arbitrum, Avalanche, and Solana, aiming to provide a seamless and efficient trading experience.

How Does GMX Work?

GMX utilizes a unique liquidity pool called GLP, which serves both spot and perpetual contract trading. Users can contribute single assets to the GLP pool, which the Automated Market Maker (AMM) uses for decentralized spot exchanges. Additionally, the leverage trading algorithm accesses the GLP pool to service loan requests by traders, enabling leverage up to 30x.

What Makes GMX Unique?

GMX stands out due to its multichain support, allowing trading from any supported EVM chain. It offers features like GMX Express, network fee subsidies, cross-collateral support, and cross-margin capabilities. The platform's composable liquidity pools and extensive ecosystem integrations position it as a foundational layer for multichain DeFi.
