Recently, the division has expanded into the digital asset space, acting as a bridge between traditional finance and decentralized technology by offering services such as digital asset custody, tokenization of funds, and settlement of security tokens.

How Does BNP Paribas Securities Services Work?

The project operates by integrating blockchain technology into its existing core banking infrastructure. It utilizes specialized platforms like 'CIB AssetFoundry' for tokenization and connectivity to public networks like Ethereum. What distinguishes this project is its 'integrated model' that allows for the coexistence of traditional and digital assets in a single operational view. It has successfully piloted the issuance of tokenized money market fund shares on the public Ethereum blockchain using a permissioned access model.
